I’m Hailea Stevenson, a graphic designer based in Barrie, Ontario, currently studying at Georgian College with an expected graduation in 2028.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, but design became something more meaningful to me over time. What started as a way to express myself eventually grew into a passion for creating work that feels intentional, emotional, and visually engaging. I’m especially interested in how design can communicate feeling, sometimes without needing words at all.
My work tends to lean toward a darker, more expressive style, but I’m always exploring new directions and pushing myself to try different approaches. I enjoy working across a mix of mediums, including digital design, posters, vector work, and hand-drawn pieces. For me, the process is just as important as the final result; experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring things out along the way is where the best ideas usually come from.
A big part of my journey has been learning how to find inspiration in everyday moments. Whether it’s through music, colour, textures, or experiences outside of design, I’m constantly collecting ideas and turning them into something visual. I’ve also been inspired by my uncle, who works in graphic design. Having that shared connection made this path feel real to me and pushed me to take it seriously.
Right now, I’m focused on continuing to develop my skills, refine my style, and build a body of work that feels authentic to who I am. I’m excited to keep learning, keep creating, and see where this path takes me.
